VAN GAAL CONSIDERS MAN UTD EXIT
Louis van Gaal is considering quitting as Manchester United manager in the summer, claims the Daily Mirror.Van Gaal will have another 12 months to run on his contract at the end of the season, but ‘the mounting pressure of the job could see him depart prematurely’, it is claimed, with sources in the Dutchman’s homeland apparently increasingly concerned at the heavy toll the job is taking on the 64-year-old.
Ryan Giggs is unlikely to be given the position if Van Gaal does quit, the tabloid adds, leaving the way clear for Jose Mourinho, who is willing to wait until the summer for his preferred job.
United, however, would also want to talk to Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone, it is claimed.
