Governor Peter Obi, has cleared the air regarding the viral reports in weeks ago that he was arrested and detained at Heathrow Airport in London United Kingdom, but it's all false as Obi said he was only stopped for a routine immigration check.

News making round in the past has it that Peter Obi was arrested was digested when Obi had an interview with Arise TV on Monday night, Obi insisted that he was never arrested, stressing that the routine immigration check lasted less than 20 minutes.

I was given a VIP treatment, Obi said, I was stopped for a routine immigration check in the UK because it appears that my identity was duplicated by someone. I was never arrested. I was treated with due respect and walked through the VIP process. Everything lasted less than 20 minutes, nothing more or less.
