Dozens of pythons are housed in this great African temple, and people worship the Pythons, despite how huge are the pythons people aren't scared of it.
Visitors can witness ceremonies and interact with the pythons under the auspices of priests.

Ouidah’s Temple of Pythons is a concrete building that is topped with a clay roof. Inside, there’s a pit filled with dozens of snakes from a species known as the Royal python known for their docility.
It was reported that about 60 pythons make this temple their house.

The snakes are not fed, occasionally they make their way to the bush where they hunt animal for food and sometimes visit peoples home where they are treated with care and off cause return to the temple.

The temple started as a result of pythons playing a huge role in spirituality and protecting the king of Ouidah from been killed by those who want to kill him when he ran to the bush for refuge during the 1700s war.
The temple open 08:00 morning, from Monday to Sunday.
